About Blackjack Counter Tool

Blackjack Counter Tool is an independently developed browser application for learning, practising, and understanding card-counting systems. It supports eight systems, shoes from 1–8 decks, Running Count and True Count, KO and Red 7 references, a half-deck remaining-shoe display, ace side counting where applicable, and educational betting examples.

It requires no account and has no advertising or behavioral tracking. A downloaded copy can be used offline when the complete project folder, including its local assets/ directory, is kept together on your device. Its displays are learning aids and do not guarantee gambling outcomes.

A learning tool

Designed for practice, not live gambling

This tool is intended to help people understand blackjack card-counting methods in a learning and practice setting. It is not intended for casino tables, live blackjack games, or real-money play. Betting suggestions are educational examples, not instructions for real-money wagering.

  • Learn how different counting systems work.
  • Practise assigning values to cards.
  • Observe how counts change throughout a shoe.
  • Understand True Count and unbalanced-system differences.
  • See how remaining shoe size affects True Count.
  • Explore educational betting examples.
The thinking behind it

Why I built it

I believe useful software should be accessible without forcing people into unnecessary subscriptions. I built Blackjack Counter Tool as a straightforward practice tool that you can use for free, without creating an account, watching advertisements, or giving away personal information.

Software should do what it promises without unnecessary paywalls or data harvesting. I want the counter to stay easy to open, understand, and use.

Access without a paywall

Software without unnecessary subscriptions

This project is free to use. Optional donations help support continued maintenance, but no features are locked behind payment. A donation is not required to use the counter, and this page does not make a promise about every future project or feature.

Local by default

Privacy and transparency

  • Counting calculations happen locally in your browser; counting sessions are not uploaded.
  • No account, advertising, analytics, or behavioral tracking is built into the web counter.
  • The optional theme preference is stored in your browser's local storage.
  • External project, GitHub, email, and PayPal destinations are reached only when you choose a link.

Read the full Privacy Policy for the hosting and external-link details.

A practice exercise

How the tool works

In a practice exercise, select a shoe size and counting system, then simulate entering cards one by one. The app updates card totals and count references in the browser. Balanced systems use precise remaining-card counts for True Count; KO and Red 7 use their own running-count references. The Help sections explain the educational betting examples and their limitations.
